Our clients are a couple who have recently returned to the UK from Switzerland and are seeking an experienced Housekeeper, Gardener and Handyman (M/F) couple.

Their home is a stunning 6-bedroom recently renovated Georgian manor house situated in 7.5 acres of beautiful gardens in a quiet hamlet, close to Chepstow.

The gardens comprise of mostly lawn, with trees including redwoods and beech. There is a large bedding area at the front of the house with roses and other perennials planned.

The principals enjoy cooking themselves but would like the housekeeper to cook lunch on occasions and they would appreciate very occasional help with preparation for dinner parties or for friends staying overnight.

Housekeeper duties include general cleaning, all laundry, silver polishing, mopping marble floors. The Gardener/Handyman (m/f) duties include trimming hedges, cutting grass, planting and weeding. Horticultural knowledge is preferred. During the winter when there is less gardening, some light handywork such as gutter cleaning may be required.

The couple must be well-presented, professional and trustworthy, with meticulous attention to detail.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9-5pm, with the very occasional dinner party help at a weekend and time off will be given in lieu.

Accommodation: A well-appointed, spacious three-bedroom cottage with own entrance and own terrace. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room and dining room.

House Assistant required to help run a well-maintained country home. This position is for someone who can commit to a daily routine but also offer some flexibility when guests and family stay during holiday periods.

Duties include:

Kind, experienced, pro-active and organised housekeeper required for 12 hours a week (split over three mornings) in family household in Buckinghamshire. Our client is a 29-year-old man who has recently moved into his own cottage on his Father’s estate and close to his Grandmother in a charming rural village location. His Mother is also local and both parents and Grandmother are incredibly supportive.

Our client is autistic (diagnosed 8 years ago) and has learning difficulties. The family are seeking a Companion and Driver to engage with him with interesting things to do to help build up his confidence and provide some structure each day.

This will be an extremely rewarding role for the right candidate. You will need to be calm, patient and cheerful, have experience of working with autism/learning difficulties or a good understanding of these conditions. We require someone who will work to gain a connection with our client, be proactive and suggest things to do with the aim of establishing a weekly routine of activities/interests which he looks forward to. Our client needs prompting with most things and an easy approach works well.

You must be a good driver; a car will be available for any trips out. We require easy home cooking (from scratch) with some light housework and laundry in conjunction with the cleaner who attends twice a week.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm (two hour break daily)
